I was torn between the 808 and the 906. I went with the 808 and have been extremely satisfied. For a home based bi-directional scanner its been fantastic. I love using the graphing feature and special functions options. I have used it to test my Acura MDX transmission pressure issues. I used it to program two keys. Its been great at pinning down a diagnosis for a Chevy Traverse with at phaser timing issue. All good stuff. I also like the quick links to Alldata, mitchell and so on. For the $400 it can't be beat.

This unit did an awesome job helping to diagnose my a/c issues and clear engine codes. Such a time and cost saver!

Hooked this unit up to my explorer and it automatically resets codes, but have not fully tested yet. So far so good

I think it is very capable and intuitive. So far, I haven’t done but a few scans with it but so far, it is an awesome tool to have.

I needed a reader that could show me the transmission temperature on my E350. I contacted Autel asking them which of their units would cover this live data. Best Scanner!I've used it on all of our cars (acura, infiniti, volvo and bmw). It has helped me resolve many problems I wouldn't have known about and cleared codes related to SRS and ABS that normally require special manufacturer scanners. Great all-in-one bi-directional scanner. Some people complain about the subscription to get updates after the first year. But that seems reasonable to me since you don't have to get the updates if your old cars don't need them.

I purchased the Autel MK808 to help diagnose and fix a suspension error code on my 2017 Yukon XL Denali. It worked flawlessly and saved me a lot of time/money if I'd had to get the repair done at the shop. Shortly afterwards, I was able to correct an ABS module issue on my wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee. Between these 2 repairs, the scanner has already paid for itself! I prefer to do my own car work so I'm sure this will be put into use a lot over the next decade or even longer, depending on automobile advancements. This unit can be upgraded so that new modules and information can be kept up to date.
